AILH hosted 20 Social Work students from Japan on February 22 at Hale Kuhao on Oahu.  The students are here with the Sharing ALOHA: Social Work in Hawaii Seminar XIV which is sponsored by the University of Hawaii at Manoa, Myron B. Thompson School of Social Work and the Na Lei Aloha Foundation.

Executive Director, Roxanne Bolden shared about AILH services and the students were privileged to visit one of Hale Kuhao’s original residents, Gordon Dela Cerna, who gave them a demonstration of the environmental controls he uses in his apartment.  The students were grateful for the opportunity to meet and get a glimpse of the types of resources and technology that are available for people with disabilities here in Hawaii.
