Executive Assistant – Candice Young

candiceyoung

Candice comes to Aloha Independent Living with 12 years of experience in providing disability access services for students in post-secondary education.  Her experiences in direct service provision, the use of assistive technology, program management, and institutional advancement, give her a broad  understanding of the needs within the disability community and the ability to respectfully outreach to this diverse population.

As a parent of a child with a disability, Candice brings a unique perspective and passion for reaching out and embracing the differences in people while serving and supporting them to reach their highest potential. She continually strives to not only meet their needs but also support them in their personal journey as a fellow advocate and student of life.

Born and raised in Pearl City, Candice has made her home on the Leeward side of Oahu with her husband and three children, who are the light of her life. She is actively involved in her children’s schools, extra curricular activities, and their home church. She currently serves on the board of two local non-profit organizations: the Na Keiki O Manana chorus and the Down Syndrome Ohana of Hawaii.
