The IL staff gathered in Hilo for an interactive and informative day of training on June 30. Maui IL Specialist, Kathleen Kenney shared a Blind and Visual Impairment training which included a hands-on demonstration the proper way to serve as a human guide. Big Island IL Specialist, Karin Riedel presented a practical and educational Emergency Preparedness training which proved to be a very relevant topic with Hawaii being in the middle of hurricane season.
It was an enlightening training session as well as a refreshing time of staff development. Mahalo to all who participated in this day.
