Liv! Zentangles Looks Forward to New Year

Liv! Zentangles has greeted the new year with excitement and anticipation.  The Oahu support group continues to work with persons with disabilities and their advocates who desire to improve quality of life through designing and developing original arts or crafts.  Their focus population are persons recovering from neurotrauma injuries including any type of brain injury, Stroke, or Spinal Cord Injury.

This year the group will be expanding their scope beyond sewing to take on projects in crocheting, knitting, beading, embroidering,  and decoupaging. Through these projects the group hopes to promote the transferable skills such as: using imagination and ideas to develop original designs, articulating and explaining ideas to others, planning and completing projects, problem solving as challenges in designing and crafting arise, helping others through teamwork, and committing to participation in group events and activities.

Liv! Zentangles meets twice a month, on select Sundays from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Rehabilitation Hospital of the Pacific.  Contact Mari Nakamura for more information at [email protected].
