Maui VI Group Welcomes LBPH

The Maui Vision Impairment and Blindness Education and Peer Support Group met for their monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 30th in Kahului. They were fortunate to have Baron Baroza from the Library for the Blind and Physically Handicapped come over from Oahu to share information about the library’s services. Baron demonstrated the Digital Player and also talked about the other audio, braille, and large print options available to registered patrons. There were many long time patrons present who shared their positive experiences with LBPH and even learned something new about the library’s offerings. Other participants learned about the library for the first time and were ready to sign up!
The Vision Impairment and Blindness Education and Peer Support Group meets the last Wednesday of every month. Contact Kathleen 866-4690 / [email protected] for more information.
