Veteran’s Day in Hilo THIS SATURDAY!

On November 9, 2019, Disability Rights Hawaii (DRH) and Squeaky Wheels Hawai’i (SWH) will be taking part in the Veterans’ Day Parade in downtown Hilo as community organizations to raise awareness about the work we are doing in the community. Members of DRH, SWH and other supporters of disability rights are invited to march (or roll, or whatever gets you down the street) along with us.

DATE: November 9, 2019

TIME: 10:00 am – 12:00 pm. Please be at Wailoa State Park before the parade begins. You will find our group by looking for the DRH/Squeaky Wheels banner (picture of our banner and last year’s marchers)

PARKING: You must come in from the direction of Kens Pancake House and turn into the road for the Kamehameha statue. For all march units to exit the field after the march takes usually an hour. Other participant parking is at the State Building parking near the Wailoa center.

LEGAL NOTICE: All participants are solely responsible for any personal injury and/or property damage resulting from participation in the 2019 Hawaii Island Veterans’ Day Parade on November 9.
